Behind the scenes…
My hand trembled when I get a phone call about shirts order from David Bouley, the owner chef of Bouley Restaurant. Kamakura Shirts got order from Bouley restaurant for their trade mark “velvet shirts”. We have never dreamt about one of the best French restaurants in New York City would order the shirts from us. Although we have been in New York City for just six months, Mr. Bouley ordered the shirts from us as soon as he confirmed our swatches.
We visited the Bouley Restaurant to measure each server’s size few days later. I was astonished by the thick ness of their arms. Their arms were toned up, and their shirts’ cuffs were worn out from repeated actions, which are routing works of serving and craving the French bread. I felt like I discovered the great efforts and achievements of Bouley restaurant besides the graceful atmosphere and elegance of servers’ behavior.
We are proudly providing the uniform shirts for the Bouley Restaurant and looking forward to seeing all servers at Bouley Restaurant are wearing our Kamakura Shirts.
