I bought the 15 3/4 and 33 1/2 sleeve, Tokyo slim fit.
The GSM is def below 130gsm from what I can feel. It's thinner than say Wool and Prince shirts. Of course it's subjective of me so I could be wrong but they don't list the GSM on this website. The price point seems high to my theoretical gsm ratio.
I really like the fit though as rarely do you see a 15 3/4 shirts. The problem is the sleeves are too short and I would say if you're a 33-34 sleeve go for the 35 length with worst case you get it tailored (asian sizing differs from what I understand). But you may not have to get it tailored after a wash (?), not sure but my previous wool shirt from another company did shrink a little.
I bought at full price and probably would still recommend it but if it was on a discount, 100% would rec because of the fit alone not so much the material. It wasn't itchy which is a plus.
The spread collar wool shirt has different sizing measurements so I'll report back on that after a day of wearing.
Subtle, classy sheen and perfect construction.
I have wanted a Green Ivy Style shirt and admired Kamakura clothing for a long time so finally getting both in one go is a thrill. Beautiful shirt. I will be collecting more pieces from Kamakura for sure.
It's a great fit. The shirt has a great feel to it. Not too tight, but not overly blousy. The collar is the best I've worn on an button down oxford. It was so comfortable I wore it two days in a row.
Kamakura shirts use the best fabrics and construction. Everything is painstakingly put together - nothing beats it in the US for the price.
I had high hopes for this denim shirt, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a letdown. After just two weeks of wear, the material on the elbows has noticeably faded, making the shirt look old and worn out much sooner than I expected.
Given the price and initial appearance of the shirt, I expected it to hold up better over time. I followed all the care instructions precisely, so there’s no excuse for such rapid wear. The fading on the elbows isn’t just subtle—it’s glaringly obvious, which makes the shirt unsuitable for anything other than casual, at-home wear now.
This is disappointing for a product marketed as durable and stylish. If you're looking for a denim shirt that will maintain its quality, I suggest looking elsewhere. This one doesn’t live up to its promises.
On the picture I attached it looks better than in reality.
