Yamanashi Fabric Anniversary

Yamanashi Fabric 10th Anniversary Special

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Yamanashi Fabric tie series, a steadfast favorite since its launch in 2014, we are proud to present a limited-edition tie to commemorate this milestone.

This exclusive design combines two iconic symbols: Kamakura’s “Mitsuu-roko” (Three Scales) and Yamanashi Prefecture’s (formerly Kai Province) “Hishi-mon” (Diamond Crest). The result is a harmonious blend of intricate woven patterns and beautifully nuanced melange fabric, creating a tie that naturally complements your everyday business style.

The Charm of Yamanashi Fabric

Two Merged Patterns

Kamakura's Mitsu-Urushi (Three Scales)

The "Scale Crest," composed of triangles, is named for its resemblance to the scales of snakes and dragons, and has long been believed to possess protective powers against evil. With a history so ancient that it is depicted in ancient burial mound murals, it became widely known as the family crest of the Hojo clan during the Kamakura period. Deeply rooted in Kamakura, the Mitsu-Urushi crest symbolizes the samurai culture and continues to convey the spirit of Kamakura to this day.

Yamanashi (Kai Province) Hishi-Mon (Diamond Crest)

The "Hishi-Mon," characterized by its symmetrical shape based on a rhombus, is widely recognized as a family crest in Japan. It is especially cherished as the symbol of the Takeda clan, a powerful Sengoku-period family descended from the Kai Genji. In Kai Province (modern-day Yamanashi Prefecture), where the Takeda clan ruled, the Hishi-Mon became a regional symbol, its dignity and beauty continuing to be passed down to this day.
