Return Policy

We are happy to refund any items provided that you follow the instructions below.

All SALE ITEMS cannot be returned for refund or exchanged unless proven to have arrived damaged or defective. MTM (Made-to-Measure) and “Choose Your Size” products are also final sale items.

If the product is proven to have arrived damaged or defective, we will cover the return shipping cost and send a prepaid shipping label. For any other reasons (sizing issue, or unsatisfied color or pattern, etc.), all shipping fees for returned item(s) must be at your own expense.

Where to Return

All products come from Japan and must be returned to Japan.

US customers: We have successfully set up a return system in the states for you to return your order.

We Cannot Accept:

・Used or worn (brief sizing is okay)
・Damaged after delivery
・Washed or altered
・Unsalable conditions
(traces of perfume, tags removed)

Please submit a return claim or contact us from below and we will respond with the return shipping address and details.

How long does the refund process take?

About 5 to 6 business days after receiving*
Your return product(s) will be sent to our warehouse, where they will process it. Then you will receive a notification for your refund.

*Due to COVID-19, staff is limited and the processing can take longer than usual.

Do you do exchanges?

We do not offer exchanges online. The best way to exchange your item is to place a new order and return your original purchase for a refund.

Do you do returns on items purchased in Japan?

We do not accept exchange/return on items purchased at other Maker’s Shirt Kamakura stores/outlets.
