Regular price $150.00This shirt is a faithful reproduction of one sent to us by Graham Marsh. It's a shirt from the 1960s. Beyond its design as a long-sleeved pullover, this shirt is appealing for its deep olive and blue bold stripes, which give a mature and tasteful impression. Although the pattern is large, it is not flashy and has a calm atmosphere. It is finished in a lightweight poplin fabric, making it a versatile piece for your wardrobe throughout the year.
This shirt was created at the request of Graham Marsh and comes with a postcard featuring his cat illustration, affectionately known as MAX.
"Straight ahead. A friend of mine maintains that ‘There is no substitute for
digging the shirts that you wear.’ I agree, especially if the shirt is this
Kamakura olive green and blue stripe pop-over. This shirt is so cool, it’s sub-
zero." - Graham Marsh

*Please note:
I love the quality and attention to detail of the Vintage Ivy shirts. They also represent great value for money. Sadly, I still think the pit to pit versus collar size is slightly off. I would have preferred a slightly wider body. My shirt is smaller than the 23" stated on the size chart.
Every aspect of this shirt is spot on. The colors, fabric, shape etc. etc. One of the best shirts that I have ever owned.
What’s not to like? Great colors and design. I’m usually an OCBD guy, and own many from Kamakura, which I’ve found to be a perfect, consistent fit and top-tier quality. This was my first popover and is a little “off the beaten path” for me, but I received multiple compliments the first time I wore it. Classic good looks, and nice light poplin fabric. I would buy more in different colors if they were available!
Usual bespoke user. Apart from bespoke, best quality shirt that I have tried. Is my first purchase and won’t be the last. Thanks!
I was a bit reluctant to make this purchase because I couldn't decide whether the Medium or Large would be the best fit. For items like this, I would normally buy a Medium. For reference, I'm 6'2" and 165 lbs. After going back and forth - and reading that this garment is intended as an overshirt - I decided on the Large size. Lucky for me, the fit is perfect. It's not too big. It drapes beautifully, and the design, with its simplicity and clean lines, is exactly what I was looking for. I'm hard to please when it comes to clothing. Purchasing online is even more daunting. Ordering internationally without a return policy felt like a real bet. However, I made the bet, and I'm very happy that I did. I've had it for less than a week and have received multiple compliments from multiple strangers, which is unusual - more of a testament to its beautiful simplicity.
