ZEN T-Shirt A Triple Collaboration: Kenchoji Temple × Kamari Maeda × Kamakura Shirts
This special edition T-shirt is a triple collaboration between Kenchoji Temple—the top-ranking temple among the Five Great Zen Temples of Kamakura—calligrapher and presentation creator Kamari Maeda, and Makers Shirt Kamakura.
Made from 100% cotton with a firm and premium texture, the T-shirt features the calligraphy of "ZEN" and "Hōjō Tokusō-ke" (※), written by Kamari Maeda. ※ Refers to the ruling family line of the Hōjō clan, which led the Kamakura Shogunate.
A dual-branded tag of Kenchoji and Kamakura Shirts is sewn on the left hem, adding a touch of exclusivity to the piece.
Perfect not only for daily wear but also as a thoughtful gift for those who love Kamakura—its temples or its shirts—or for overseas visitors.

I have been wearing Kamakura Shirts exclusively for almost 10 years. Incredibly good quality and great fit. It's nice to know that the focus is on genuine craftsmanship and a commitment to traditional shirtmaking.
The shirt exceeds my expectations. I’m genuinely surprised how well it fits - very flattering. Takes a little effort to wrap one’s head around the Japanese method of measuring but I’d say worth the time with fit results like this.
Wonderfully made, quality feel, and the ecru is a versatile colour. Looks amazing with dark jeans and brown boots.
I’m 5’10” and 185lbs with a 44” chest. the ecru (51)/ 16 1/2 fits like it was tailored for me. Room to move. When moving arms to extremes no pulling. Just the right length for tuck. And just the right amount of space midriff down to waist for those of us past our slim fit days. Hands down my best shirt purchase in many years.
