Unstructured jackets are one of the traditional Ivy details, but they are lightweight enough to be easily adopted by those who do not usually wear jackets. The canvas has been eliminated as much as possible, and cupro is applied only to the sleeves and shoulders for easy on/off. All of the details are pure Ivy: natural shoulders, a narrow three-inch lapel, a three-roll-two front closure, no front darts, a patch pocket on the chest, patch-and-flap side pockets, and a center hook vent at back.

The navy blazer is one of the essential items for Ivy lovers.
Wear with wool slacks for a dressy look, or with chinos and jeans for a more casual look.

Saw DCN's review for this item and felt compelled to add a review of my own in completely echoing everything they said. The cut on this jacket is tasteful and intentional, classic not trendy.

The stores in Manhattan were how I first discovered this brand, and while they are sorely missed, I am glad, and lucky, they've sustained themselves through this site. You won't find better design, material, and execution at this price point anywhere.

Beautiful aesthetic celebrating 1960s heritage

I am a long time Kamakura customer - beginning in 2017. Your Manhattan based stores (World Financial Center and Madison Avenue) were an absolute delight - and sorely missed! Having admired this unstructured blazer on your site, I wanted to try it on before purchasing. I scheduled an appointment at the order salon in Manhattan. Your team - Junko and Chinatsu could not have been more helpful - outstanding service team and experience! The jacket was better in person - absolutely beautiful and a new staple to my wardrobe. Kamakura is THE source for authentic Ivy 1950s/1960s clothing.
