Regular price $97.00Kyoto’s Nishijin district is renowned as one of Japan’s finest weaving regions for neckties.
This special collection is crafted using carefully selected fabrics from Nishijin, expertly handmade by skilled artisans.
Each tie is meticulously sewn stitch by stitch using fabric with substantial body and resilience. Particular attention has been paid to the dimensional shape and elegant knot it creates when worn.
While rooted in traditional craftsmanship, the colors, patterns, and proportions are designed with a modern sensibility. A classic tie reinterpreted with a contemporary spirit.
Fabric
The fabric offers a firm hand and excellent structure, providing a comfortable knot with lasting shape retention throughout the day.
Design
Based on traditional Ivy-style stripes, the tie is updated with subtle nuanced colors for a modern expression.
The palette is refined and memorable without being overly bold.
In addition, the unlined “sfoderato” construction creates a lighter feel and a naturally elegant blade shape.
The design combines the spirit of American trad with the effortless lightness characteristic of Italian style.
Styling
Pair it with a navy blazer and chinos for a relaxed modern Ivy look. It also works beautifully with a crisp white shirt, allowing the texture and subtle color variations of the fabric to stand out.

*Please note:
This shirt attracted my attention because it’s claimed to be made of “extra heavy” linen - unlike your typical summer lightweight shirts you find everywhere. While I expected “extra heavy” to be somewhat heavier, I admit it’s not a measurable category unless gsm is provided; yet, for me it ticks this checkbox.
I had to remove one star for a simple reason: when completely buttoned down, one half of the shirt is noticeably shorter than the other. This flaw remains after ironing and washing - see the photo. I find it unacceptable given Kamakura’s aimed premium market segment and the emphasis on not compromising on quality.
The delivery to Germany was fast and problem-free.
very soft and nice tee shirt, I like the thickness of the cotton.
I returned to purchase this Oxford for the 2nd time, that speaks volumes the quality of the products. The customer service support has been very good & professional as well.
Great quality. A little stiff right out of the package. Softened up after one gentle wash and hang dry. The size Large was perfect for me at 5'11" and 160lbs.
After several Vintage Ivy button down shirt I now found the shirt, that soles the two problems thatbdid not make the Ivys my perdekte shirt: it has the perfect body length and the front buttons close much deeper. This now is perfect!
