Regular price $190.00Batik patterns were an unsung hero of Ivy League style, enjoying popularity in both the United States and Japan during the 1960s. While printing technology has advanced significantly, the authentic feel inherent in batik can only truly be achieved through traditional discharge printing. The pattern designs faithfully reproduce those found in archival pieces from that era.

*Please note:
This shirt is another work of art. Looks fantastic and is just a super cool shirt. As I mentioned in another review, I ordered a full size up.
I am torn between wearing it and framing it!
This jacket embodies everything that epitomises Ivy League styling, the cut the choice of colour and the quality of workmanship are all exceptional, and so too is the fit. I am so pleased that I discovered Kamakura!
The product received is spot on to the description. The material and the color are excellent. On sizing a small is a snug fit for me. If you want a more relaxed fit or plan to wear an undershirt get a medium.
Excellent service and seamless delivery
The boring bit: Delivery from Japan was fast and seamless.
About the shirt:
I've been wearing OCBDs for over a decade at this point from various makers. I now regard this as the benchmark because it's a quantum leap above the rest. The cloth is satisfyingly heavy and yet beautifully soft. The roll on the collar is delightful and the cut of the shirt itself is roomy without being baggy allowing you to move without hinderance. The end result of this is a shirt that is comfortable enough for a lazy Saturday and yet smart enough for the office.
