Regular price $150.00Maker's Shirt Kamakura celebrates its 30th anniversary and has jointly developed 'Giza 96' with Kuwamura Textile, a renowned Japanese fabric producer that has been committed for many years. 'Giza' refers to the premium cotton grown in Egypt, and '96' represents the cotton variety. Fortunately, this time, we were able to obtain a rare cotton. Kuwamura Textile had been producing fabrics in large quantities for the US market in the 1990s. The Giza 96 shirt was planned with reference to the patterns and colors of the fabrics they used to send to the United States back then.
A collar with a pattern that curves with the natural slope of the lower neck and shoulders. By adjusting the stitches at the millimeter level, the collars spread nicely and tucks neatly beneath sweaters and jacket lapels. Wear it with or without a tie and you’ll still keep that sophisticated look.

*Please note:
The quality of Kamakura premium shirts is usually really high but for me, these shirts just don't finish to convince me. The first wares of this shirt felt a little rough but after two washes it improved instantly. However the fabric had frayed in many places on the pattern, something I have only experienced on this wool shirt.
This shirts are a great premium alternative to easy-care shirts. They are wrinkle-resistant and don't retain odors. On the other hand, is more difficult to remove stains than other cotton shirts so take care of them.
If you want to buy one of these shirts I recommend buying a solid pattern.

The Giza 96 shirts have a nice color to them but have lower luster than the Sea Island Cotton shirts. The advantage these shirts have is that are a great alternative to the Sea Island Cotton shirts because of their wrinkle resistance and great color. If you love the Sea Island cotton shirts but hate the wrinkles they usually have, this one is a great alternative.
I have used this shirt on many formal occasions and I enjoy the luster, design, and collar of this shirt. The only negative is that is a little more difficult to iron than other shirts but in comparison to other Sea Island Cotton shirts is not that difficult.
