200-Thread Count /4PLY Shirts

● 4PLY
4PLY refers to a special type of yarn created by twisting four extremely fine threads together. Compared to single-ply or double-ply (2PLY) yarns, 4PLY offers superior strength, higher vibrancy, and resilience. The fabric produced is woven with an exceptionally high density and fine texture, making it rare and exquisite even on a global scale.

● Material
The shirt is made from a 200-count superfine yarn, which is crafted only from selected rare raw materials and produced using limited equipment and specialized manufacturing techniques. The fabric boasts a silk-like sheen and a soft, luxurious texture that gently caresses the skin. The long-staple Supima cotton used in this shirt ensures its high quality. Experience the unique feel that only a 200-count yarn can provide.

For over 30 years since its founding, Kamakura Shirts has been dedicated to pursuing high-quality products. While we pay close attention to technical aspects such as patterns and tailoring, we are particularly passionate about "materials" and "threads."

With carefully selected materials from around the world and specially developed threads unique to our company, we offer the kind of attention to detail that only a specialty shirt store can provide.

Executive Presence
High-Thread Count Dress Shirts

As the threads become finer, their delicacy increases, leading to a higher thread count. Generally, a count of 80 or above is considered "high-thread count," a standard for luxury shirts.

At Kamakura Shirts, we offer a wide range of threads tailored to different purposes, from 40-count threads used in casual shirts like Oxford fabric, to what we proudly consider the finest in the world—400-count threads.

Add a Touch of Luxury to Your Everyday Look

The 200-thread count shirt elevates your usual dress style to the next level. Made from fine Supima cotton, these high-quality, ultra-fine threads are twisted together for just the right amount of firmness and durability. This exceptional piece is perfect not only for formal occasions but also for business settings, offering both sophistication and practicality.

400-Thread Count - The World's Finest High-Thread Count Shirt

Pursuit of the Finest Materials
Premium Cotton Series

For those who are particular about their dresswear, many will also want to be particular about the cotton. Just like patterns and tailoring, the choice of material is essential in creating a luxury dress shirt.

Drawing on years of experience, we select only the finest cotton from around the world. Each type of cotton has its unique characteristics, and we encourage you to choose the material that best suits your style and preference.

The Origin of All Extra-Long Staple Cottons American Sea Island Cotton

American Sea Island Cotton (U.S.-grown Sea Island cotton) is the pure heir to the DNA of the original Sea Island cotton, the foundation of all existing extra-long staple (luxury) cottons. Its appearance and feel are often compared to "silk" or "cashmere" due to its elegant, luxurious texture. With only 0.01% of the world's cotton harvest coming from this rare breed, Kamakura Shirts proudly offers a wide variety of this exquisite cotton in its collections.

World’s Three Major Cottons - GIZA96

GIZA96 is a variety of Egyptian cotton, referred to as one of the world’s three major cotton types. Among the Giza cotton varieties, which are numbered in the order of their development, GIZA96 is the most recent strain of extra-long staple cotton. It contains a high amount of natural oils, giving it a rich luster and a smooth texture that is truly appealing. The woven fabric has a firm feel, providing an exceptional wearing experience that makes you stand tall when you put it on.

Enveloping Softness - SUVIN GOLD

This ultra-long staple cotton is carefully cultivated and hand-picked on designated farms in South India. Hand picking ensures that the cotton bolls are undamaged, allowing them to arrive at the spinning factory in a soft state. The type of cotton used is "SUVIN." Among these, only the first and second pickings, which absorb the best nutrients from the soil, are awarded the title "GOLD." This cotton is characterized by its softness, flexibility, elegant luster, and beautiful color vibrancy. It has been spun into a fine 150-count yarn, offering a luxurious wearing experience unique to high-count fabrics.

Effortless and Refined - Premium Circular Knitting

This is the highest line of knit shirts. The fabric’s surface features high-quality Supima cotton, while the inner layer, which touches the skin, is made from high-performance polyester that excels in opacity and easy-care properties. The glossy sheen and smooth texture make it virtually indistinguishable from traditional fabrics. This exquisite piece is perfect for pairing with classic suits, offering both elegance and comfort.
