This samue was designed based on feedback from temple workers who wear it daily as workwear. While incorporating the comfort, functionality, and ease of movement essential for samue, it also features Kamakura Shirts’ dresswear tailoring techniques, resulting in a clean and refined silhouette.
The sleeves are designed to be easily rolled up, making it practical for tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and gardening. The zippered and hip pockets can hold a wallet or smartphone, making it convenient for quick shopping trips.
The pants can also be worn on their own, making them versatile as casual wear.

To me these are a proper European fit, long sleeves are perfect for me being slim build & 6’1 tall with broad shoulders.
For the shorties out there you may be better having sleeves made to length bespoke style

At 5’10 178 the 16.5 is the perfect fit for me. I don’t think these ivy vintage shirts should have a fitted nature they would feel loose even when tucked in. The sleeves are a tad long for my size but nothing a quick tailoring can’t fix. Favorite shirt in the wardrobe, very versatile.
This is actually a second time I bought a shirt from Kamakura, but this size and fit is the first and it fits me perfectly. The fabric also feels nice on the skin. Overall was a very impressive piece and the shipping process was super fast. Will definitely buy from Kamakura again.
