Regular price $140.00Sea Island cotton is the origin of all extra-long staple cottons and the reigning top-quality cotton used to be cultivated in the Caribbean, but was discontinued in the early 20th century due to devastating insect damage.
A century has passed since then. Thanks to modern agriculture, technological advances, and research into cultivation methods, Sea Island cotton has made a comeback in a limited area on the border between Texas and New Mexico in the United States. This "miracle cotton" was named "American Sea Island Cotton."
The border between Texas and New Mexico is the site of the revival of the cotton industry, provided an ideal environment for cotton cultivation.

The quality of the shirt is high, I enjoy the luster of the Sea Island Cotton line but I have realized that the problem these shirts usually have is that they wrinkle easily and are more troublesome to iron, this one is not an exception.
I own many shirts of the premium line but this one is the one I have the most trouble ironing even between other Sea Island Cotton shirts. The fabric is thick and has a nice feeling but after a little use, it starts to accumulate many noticeable wrinkles on the sleeves and I have read that many others have the same problem with this shirt. I would only buy again this shirt to use it only as layering and not by itself.
I am very satisfied with this purchase. I am 5'11', 185 lbs and found the 41-85 to be a great fit.
I am 6'0'' and 170 pounds and (in a size L) the shirt was too small after a wash. The sleeves, in particular, were comically short. I offered the shirt as a gift to my friend who is 5'9'' and 165 pounds and it was still marginally too small on him. You should not purchase these shirts if you are these heights or weights. Still, I leave five stars because the quality of the shirt is top notch, and, ultimately, this sizing mistake is my own error due to a lack of research. Do not make my mistake!
Material is amazing and the quality is worth it. However, I recommend sizing up from your normal shirt sizes. The arms are too tight. If you are a guy with big arms and shoulders, size up. Your chest size wont matter.
Best shirts your money can buy (especially during sales). Make sure you understand your sizing though.
