One can’t go works with Kamakura shirts. Fabric, style or service.
The fit and color of these socks is better than what I had expected and by the way, I expected a lot. The crew color is beautiful and the fit of the socks is excellent. I have worn them with jeans and I have worn them with khakis and with a variety of style of shoes And the added touch that they add is terrific. I suggest you buy all three colors and buy multiple pairs of each. You will find them in rotation often I love the quality.
Was originally excited to purchase from Kamakura.
In fairness, the shirt is well-constructed. The stitching is very tight, and many little details (buttons, reinforcement, etc.) is well done.
I purchased the shirts after having someone take my measurements and, importantly, seeking the input of a representative of Kamakura. It was recommended to me by the Kamakura representative to purchase the shirts in New York Slim fit a size smaller than what my measurements and gut said.
Upon receiving the shirts, I was disappointed to learn that they were a bit tighter than what I was hoping for. Under the pecs and the shoulders were just tighter than anticipated.
The most unfortunate part is the return policy. While knowing that return shipping is to be the responsibility of the purchaser, upon inquiring with various shipping companies, I quickly realized it is cost prohibitive (well over the cost of a single shirt) to send my not-quite-right shirts back to Japan from Canada.
Ultimately, I’m now stuck with several beautiful shirts that don’t fit exactly right.
Purchasers take the fit and sizing with a grain of salt.
Dear Mr. E.P.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with the fit of your shirts. Our size suggestions are based on our personal experiences and general guidelines, but we understand that without seeing you in person, it’s not always perfect.
Regarding the return shipping fee, we are aware of the challenges it presents and are actively working on developing a more reasonable return procedure. We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we strive to improve this aspect of our service.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and please know that your voice is important to us as we continue to refine our processes.
Best regards.
Taking a cue from another reviewer’s testimony (of similar proportions), at 6’0 175lbs., I opted for the size 16. (Looking for a bit more of a fitted silhouette.) In this shirt, the choice was spot on. Dare I say typical…[probably more apropos to say, as expected], Kamakura/Japanese quality. Not a missed stitch.
This is the perfect Fall alternative to the pressed cotton white shirt.
this will be my wedding day shirt, so glad I found this operation. I look forward to buying more in the future. I've never had a pre-sized shirt fit so luxuriously.
This was a birthday present for my husband, he wanted something with natural fibers that fit well for the hot summer months. He tried it on today and absolutely loves it. And it drapes so nicely on him! He usually wears a large in tshirts but the fitting said medium, so that's what I ordered – and it fit absolutely perfectly.
